I feel like it’s been far too long since I did a Real Look. Truth of the matter is I’m rarely around someone who can take my picture. So, today’s real look is photographed by myself with my fancy pants cell phone! hehe. Maybe this is good so that you know we’re not constantly being followed around by photographers. Today’s look is my go-to outfit. If I’m worried that I’ll be uncomfortable that day or just don’t want to put much thought into what I’m wearing, I go to this! It’s really comfortable and easy to wear while at the same time being on trend.
I’m currently playing an accessory game with my friend Emily right now that I will tell you about very soon!!! Because of it, I built today’s outfit around my scarf in order to wear it.
I purchased the scarf in Puerto Rico at a street market. The earrings were purchased in India at a street market as well. I’ve talked before about accessories being my chosen souvenir while traveling! It just makes the most sense to me that I would collect things I’ll use on the regular.
My shoes are Tom’s which I’m sure you all know. This is my second pair of red ones. I like to use red as a neutral sometimes…
Ignore that awful face and the weird way I’m holding my arm.
The Chambray shirt is from Old Navy, the tank top is a magical long and lean from Target, the black jeggings are from Target as well!

I have a pair of full cut denim trousers in a really dark wash that I pair with a long-sleeved black sweater. The sweater has a large square neckline and is the lightest weight knit. It must have artificial fibers because this sweater never wrinkles! Washes up like a dream!
With that foundation I can add anything! Funky jewelry, a pop of color with a scarf, or a blazer or trench. And its so comfy, its kinda like wearing my jammies.
love it j elizabeth! Sounds comfy!
My go tos are dark wash jeggings usually from Old Navy (I’m a big fan of their new items, especially the chambray shirt you have and the polka dot print chambray shirt and a star print chambray shirt I have.), flowy tops (cotton button downs or tanks for spring and big comfy sweaters for fall/winter), HUGE stud earrings, adorable shades usually from T.J. Maxx, and oxfords. During the winter I do like to don a floppy knit beanie and during the spring, I wear a lightweight scarf to keep similar outfits from looking like boring uniforms.
